Captain Henry MarxChairman
A native of Stamford, Connecticut, and a community leader, Henry has grown up around boats ranging from day sailors to submarines. He has devoted his life to sailing and the sea.
As President and CEO of Landfall Navigation, and sage leader of SSF, every day Henry practices his love for the sea.
In addition, Henry holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master’s license and, in his “spare” time, faclitates safety and navigation seminars for ocean sailors from coast to coast.
Skip Raymond Founder and Director of Operations
Born to sailing, Skip was the 1952 Long Island Sound Junior Champion and captain of the Dartmouth College team.
Skip became president of the sail-making firm of Hathaway, Reiser & Raymond in 1978, and has been a senior advisor there since 2002. In addition, he is a highly successful big and small boat racer, and served as the Commodore of the Stamford Yahct Club and led the Storm Trysail Club, Cruising Club of America, and US Sailing.
Today Skip divides his time between cruising with his wife, Joan, and ensuring the highest quality of operations, boat maintenance and water safety for SSF.
Harry White Director of Development
Harry is a sailor and fundraiser with a special interest in young people and education. With experience ranging from Dartmouth College to the Tilton School, Manattanville College, Northfield Mount Herman School and the Millbrook School, Harry provides expert direction and tireless devotion to assuring donors’ investment in the SSF reaps significant rewards.
