GE Commits $5,000 to Young Mariners Foundation

The Asset Management Department of GE in Stamford, CT has won a corporate commitment of $5,000 to benefit YMF. Through their annual United Way campaign for 2011, Fairfield County GE employees raise millions of dollars for their favorite charities. In 2011 the Asset Management Department was one of the top departments. Jeffrey Immelt, CEO, attended the ceremony held at corporate headquarters and spoke about the impact and value of "acting locally" to solve problems and make a difference.
