Greenwich YM Founder Recognized by US Sailing

US Sailing announced 2011 Community Sailing Award Winners last week. Tom O’Connell, Founder of the Greenwich CT Young Mariners program was among an impressive list of community programs recognized by US Sailing. Tom founded the Greenwich Ct program 2 years ago as an offshoot of the Stamford Young Mariners Foundation summer Blue Water Bound program. He was given the Outstanding Leadership Award for creating the program in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich.
