The Heart of Blue Water Bound

Success can be measured in many ways, but none is more important than how the youngsters of Stamford feel about their experiences in the Blue Water Bound program.

What the Kids Say:

Thank you for teaching me to sail and not sink. Thank you for teaching me how to float and not drown. Thank you for teaching me how to put up a sail at the top of a boat. Thank you for teaching me the 4 things I need to know before I put on my life jacket. Thank you for teaching me to float on a boat.

— Kenya, 5th Grade

Thank you so much for teaching me a better way to swim. Also how to sail. I was really scared at first but then after that one sailing ride I would go on 1,000 more times.

— Tricia, 5th Grade

Thank you for giving us the chance to learn about our ocean and how to save the things and creatures that live in it. But not only have I learned about the sea, I also have learned about the whole earth and how to save it one day from pollution.

— Herbert, 5th Grade

Parents are enthusiastic about the BWB experience, too:

Makes him feel special being in the water.

I never understood the importance of sailing until now.

Yanni has to work hard in school, if this helps his reading and writing it would be wonderful.
